350km of River

It is one of the most iconic features of the London landscape, but at almost 350km long, the River Thames almost crosses the width of England!

With its source in rural Gloucestershire, the river flows through a number of English towns and cities, including Oxford, Reading and - of course - London, before joining the sea at the Thames Estuary between Essex and Kent. This makes it the longest river in England and the second longest in the United Kingdom.

It is therefore not surprising to know that this magnificent body of water carries so much in terms of history, features and entertainment.
